“The technician was able to answer my questions and perform the service very timely. He let us know exactly what he was doing.”

“I got notice from the water company about a spinning meter at my rental property, and I immediately began looking into the issue and seeking professional assistance. Measuring the meter, I estimated the rate of the leak was 800 gallons per day. The first three plumbers to come out either did not know how to diagnose the problem or did not convince me that they could carry the job through to completion in a cost effective way. I had also called leak detection services, and no one was available for three weeks. Then I spoke to Aaron T. at Strand. He was confident he could fix the problem and described how he would pressure test the lines to isolate the leak(s). Then he described how the repairs would proceed under the various contingencies. He also explained which contingencies would have coverage under typical Texas insurance policies and that he would be supportive of a claim in such a case. He convinced me that he knew what he was doing, that he could communicate effectively, and that he could see the job through. When the diggers started in on the trench, I got word that they were going to remove several bushes. I called Aaron, and he immediately contacted the crew to divert the trench to have the least impact on the landscape. Aaron also helped find a better solution for the owner's cutoff than in the meter box, right next to the utility company cutoff. He installed a cutoff just inside the garage where the new line entered the house. I was totally impressed with Aaron's work and would recommend him without hesitation. Plus, he was extremely polite to the tenant and made sure she was never without water overnight. I gave only 4 stars overall because the project had some management hiccups. The diggers were delayed getting out because they went to the wrong part of town. Then the City inspector was a no-show two days in a row. I realize the service company can't control the City, but it is part of the overall project management. Because of the delay in the inspection, I had an open trench when a hard freeze hit. Guess who came out at the end of his workday to cover up the trench with canvas? Aaron.”

“I purchased by AC/furnace unit from Strand back in 1998 and I've had no problems with it at all. Today the heater wouldn't start, and with a freezing day right around the corner I decided I'd better get it fixed now. I called around 9am and Adam was here by noon. Turns out there was nothing wrong with the furnace--it was the thermostat. I decided I wanted a NEST, but the device was less expensive from Home Depot, so my son ran out and bought one while the technician cleaned my furnace. My son returned, the technician installed it, and because I let Strand install, they will warranty it for life! My heater was up and running within about an hour and a half, and my house is nice and cozy now. Adam was great. I could tell he really wanted a happy customer. He was polite and professional and never pushy. Guess I was smart 18 years ago when I bought from Strand, and smart again today when I called them for service.”
