“Our old deck was builder grade, falling apart, and not the safest. We contacted HD Exteriors July 2022 and they sent their sales representative, Corey Robertson, out a few days later. Corey was excellent ? patient, a wealth of knowledge, and so personable. He took measurements, listened to what we wanted, then spent about two hours discussing our options. We decided to have our old deck removed, a new composite deck built, and under the deck a stone paver patio with a retaining wall built. We knew that this was not going to be a cheap or easy job, but it was one we had been saving up for and knew that it needed to be done and done correctly. Corey helped us make adjustments according to our budget, our expectations, and even took into account supply chain issues. When finished, we put down a deposit, told our project was understandably about 120 days out, and that the office would be in touch with us to handle HOA approval and building Permits. We were contacted the very next day by the President of HD Exteriors thanking us for our business, and a few days after by the HOA Team with a 40-page packet of all required information to submit to our HOA for approval of our deck build. Many contractors do not do this step, usually it?s up to the home owner and that?s not the case with HD Exteriors. Our HOA approved our application right away and we were waiting until November 2022 to start our project, but instead we were pleasantly surprised. Middle of August 2022 we were contacted by HD Exteriors that our permits were filed and approved, and all of our materials were available so they were ready to start our project by the last week of August. This was such great news, and from there it was a whirlwind of activity. While at times it seemed a little overwhelming, we had nothing but open communication with management. Everything from when our supplies were going to be delivered to walk thru times. We also had all the contact information for our project managers and could reach out to them with any questions. HD Exteriors helped us every step of the way, and our final product was beyond our expectations. Great communication, delivered early and with very impressive results. Can?t recommend enough. 10 out of 10!”

“Our project was a new two level Trex Transcend deck with three sets of stairs, railings, lights, landing, and two gates. The old deck was taken down and removed. Communication from the management team on the timing of the project was exceptional. We knew when they were coming and what was going to be done. Plus we received copies of the County inspection reports at each stage of construction. The installation crew was hardworking and very skilled. They cleaned up at the end of each day and were there bright and early the following morning. We were also impressed with the various professionals who came to handle the punch out list. For instance, some of our siding had to be replaced where the old deck had been attached to the house and the replacement siding they installed matched the existing siding perfectly. Also we had an existing brick walkway on one side of the top deck and an existing brick patio on the other side of the bottom deck. They integrated the locations where the new stairs on both sides joined the brickwork by cutting and piecing extra bricks we had kept from our original brick installation so the transition from deck stairs to brickwork was beautiful. One would never know that the brick patio and brick walkway were done years earlier as the new deck stairs joined them beautifully. The crew was very careful to work around existing landscape that we had around the old decks. They let us know ahead of time if we needed to temporarily relocate some bushes or small trees to avoid any damage, which we did. Also we felt the salesperson?s proposed layout for the decks gave us maximum deck space and added a nice new landing between the decks. He also planned the length of the decks so we did not need to piece together boards and saved on cost. Overall from initial design work, to project management, to installation and final punchout, HD Exteriors did an excellent job. We highly recommend them to future customers and would not hesitate to use them again for our own future projects.”

When the issue was noted the team expedited getting the correct pavers. The process went as expected and we are primarily satisfied with the work in terms of what was promised and what was delivered except for the seams not being sealed uniformly throughout the patio.”

“My patio project could not have gone better. We met at a home show in Chantilly, Va. They followed up promptly with a site visit and a reasonable price quote in writing. Subject to product availability, they gave me a time estimate. When the materials came in , they notified me Tuesday, delivered materials on Thursday, started work early Friday morning and wrapped up all the work and cleanup midday Saturday. As an architect practicing in 5 decades, I have done many punch inspections. My punch inspection for this project had ZERO items . I am totally pleased with the quality of materials used and the careful demolition and the excellent installation.”
