Homeowner Reviews

“Once again Homeworks took their experience and did an extensive job on our exterior completely transforming the appearance. The crews attention to detail, respect for property (removing screens etc) and when done replaced everything. They kept us informed of their progress and ensuring the correct color paint was where it was supposed to be. As always Homeworks did a phenomenal job! Homeworks has been painting our house from the moment we moved in (2016) and following renovations they have come in and made the interior look exquisite each time. Well never use anyone else.”

“The team arrived on time, very personable and friendly. The project was completed on time and the team cleaned up afterwards. We were very please with completed project.”

“Quality, courteous service completed when scheduled. Performed all work specified in the estimate. Project leader described all work being done in an understandable fashion.”

“Everything!”

“They were professional and generally did a good job”

“I would not recommend this company. The crew leader showed up and started by complaining about the scope of the job. He tried painting over several pieces of rotted wood that was supposed to be changed out/replaced as per the scope of work. We had to check behind them each day to ensure the work was done correctly, often catching them paint over the rot. They left our yard and deck a mess. Finally, they would not show up if it was cloudy and they thought there was the slightest chance of rain. Our neighbors across the street had their house painted by a different company and the were done in half the time (and they did a great job).”

“I hired Home Works to, among other things, fix a crack in the molding on my Paladian window in the living room. Within a few weeks the crack was back and even bigger. I was unable to proceed with my plans for a party because of this embarrassing situation that everyone would notice. I still have the crack but no budget this year to have it redone by someone else.”

“Have always had Home Works do all my painting. It was a job well done every time”

“I was disappointed in the level of professionalism for what I paid. I had much more clean up than I expected.”

“The entire were all very professional!”

“See my comments!”

“Our painters were absolutely top notch. Extremely respectful, patient, thorough, and provided an excellent result.”

“We have used Home Works Painting for several projects, both interior and exterior, since 2014. I would not have any other painting company paint the inside of my house period. The most recent interior job was 2019. For interior work, I would give them all 5 stars. They are careful with great attention to detail and clean-up. They are also quite good at whatever carpentry repairs (baseboards, etc.) they encounter. We have a cathedral ceiling with a large peaked area in the center of the living room ceiling. Every townhome on this street (including ours) experienced settlement cracks in that peaked area. It made no difference how many different ways our neighbors patched or taped that area to do away with the cracks across the ceiling, nothing worked for 14 years! In our last Home Works interior paint project, they opened up the peak, screwed strips of wood on either side of the area, drywalled and painted. We are the envy of the neighborhood as those unsightly as those cracks have never returned to our ceiling! We have also used Home Works for two exterior projects, both of which were for sealing and staining our small back deck. In 2020, when we knew we were going to replace all the top boards and stairs the next year, we asked them to replace several boards that had small areas of rot in them, and then to seal and stain the entire deck and stairs to hold over the winter months. They did a fine job. In the spring of 2021, we rebuilt the deck and stairs and again worked with Home Works to stain and seal the new wood. We'd selected a semi-transparent stain made for decks by Sherwyn Williams. After the wood had cured, power washed and thoroughly dried, the staining/sealing began in May. The quality of the first coat of stain was night and day from what we'd experienced in the past. Brush strokes were going in all directions, areas of the wood had been overlooked and paint stains were left on our white vinyl railings. It was really quite bad. To their credit, the owner, Mike Katounas, came to our home in a very timely manner, apologized and vowed to make all things right. And they DID make all things right in the end -- but it took 4 months to finally accomplish it! There was the weather -- stain cannot be applied at 90 degrees and over or it will not adhere and there was certainly a lot of 90+ degree days. Stain also cannot be applied on wet decks, and there was an abundance of rain during and in between the 90 degree days. Mike Katounas said the best way forward was to power sand all existing stain off the deck and stairs, and he did that at his expense. What couldn't be power sanded would be hand sanded. Sadly, remnants of stain were left behind, and more sanding was required. Then the deck and stairs had to be power washed again, also at his expense. We were now into September. By the 2nd week of September, it was finally finished. Phew! Both Home Works and we were so glad it was! My point is this: mistakes were made, mistakes were corrected, lessons were learned, the company was true to its word to make things right. Was it easy? No, not for either of us. And there's no controlling the weather. But we are very happy with the end result. We need to restain our screened porch next year and Home Works will get the first shot at the job.”

“The head foreman gave us exceptional service.”

“Everything was great. Such good value and service. Their professionalism and the job they do are perfect.”

“Replacement of rotten wood looks good.”

“Carlos, the supervisor, and Santos, the crew leader, were great to work with and did and excellent job on the necessary repairs, painting preparation, and painting.”

“Honestly, every one from top to bottom. EVERY person I dealt with did their job expertly and respectfully. This included crews, office staff, and management.”

“Bad experience. Paint on the floor”

“Two ceilings needed major repair. One of the ceilings is very high and sloped. They did a great job here and kept everyone safe.”

“I don't remember.”

“They exceeded my expectations for quality. If there were any issues, they would go above and beyond to rectify it.”

“Subcontractors were used. They hadn't been informed of the high foyer ceiling and so didn't bring scaffolding. It should have have been 3 full days of work but the crew left abruptly after 2 days. The ceiling looked awful as did the cutting in. Homeworks was good about sending out a different crew to fix the problems but I still spent several days touching up mistakes. Unfortunately, the first crew ran caulk along all the door casings to cover up their sloppy work. It looks awful but is too much trouble to rip the caulk out and redo everything.”

“They did real well. I was very pleased with everything. They do so well, they are busy all the time.”

“I've known Mike for many years. They do excellent work. He's dependable, and you can count on them. They do great work and are great people, absolutely!”

“The whole job met my expectations.”

“The management was responsive, and I enjoyed working with them. Everyone was very nice, it was just the workmanship where I had the issues.”

“Highly recommend. Excellent repair work before paint. Skilled drywall. Responsive to changes.”

“We are extremely pleased with the work done on the exterior of our house. Homeworks replaced numerous pieces of rotted trim with new PVC boards that line up perfectly with the rest of our trim. We've had our house painted by numerous painters over the years and Homeworks is by far the best painter we've ever hired. They were very professional and extremely careful when painting our home and left the job site clean every day.”

“Everyone I've interacted with at Home Works Painting has been exceptional, especially the crew boss for my kitchen project.”

“Everyone was great from the very first telephone contact, through the estimate, the power washing and exterior and interior painting.”

“The initial walk-through appeared to be very professional with much promise for a good job.”

“What most impressed me was the thorough preparation Home Works did prior to applying the two coats of paint: soft washing the entire house, then carefully recalking wherever the old Cali was cracked.”

“Overall, great job”

“Yes I would recommend Home Works Painting and I plan to use them again.”

“HomeWorks is my go to company for anything having to do with painting, doors/trim or Sheetrock.”

“Time to completion...amazing!”

“Especially the guys who hung the door. The results cleanly exceeded my expectations”

“Tomas, the lead on the job, was very good!”

“I would recognize the salesperson for his exceptional service.”

“Mike was able to help me choose just the right color for my project.”

“The job foreman was knowledgeable.”

“I don't remember who was th crew at this point. All of the crew did an outstanding job! I loved the color consultant. She was right on with the colors. I am so pleased with her input!”

“No”

“I have had several occasions to use this company. Their exceptional work and communication is why I am a repeat customer. EVERYONE all the way through the process is fantastic.”

“...”

“It's been a bit too long for me to recall, but everyone I worked with was very friendly.”

“Everyone we interfaced with from sales and estimation through scheduling and job completion. Special thanks to Jason, Guillermo and his team of painters.”
